A brief history of fragrant spruces for the car
Custom / promotional car fragrances are used to remove or mask unpleasant smells. Nowadays, we use several different versions such as scented candles, aerosols, gels, potpourri, etc. In 1990, sales of air fresheners worldwide exceeded € 100 million in annual turnover.
Due to the increased demand for car fragrances, made and printed to order, we decided to expand the offer in the online store WTP business and promotional gifts. To make it easier to imagine the possible shapes and calculate the cost, we have added all the existing molds for cutting out car air fresheners. To the classic shapes: circle, square, rectangle, we added the shapes of teardrop, ellipse, car, cup and so on. Car fragrances are a classic promotional gift. Classically, however, does not mean bad, as this adjective gives the product strength. Car fragrances are attached to the exposed part of the car, and their presence pours into the subconscious of the user.
The offer of fragrances is really big. It is important that we decide on the quality of this product due to its nature. With the fragrances in our offer, we do not intend to compete with such Chinese-made products of questionable origin, without certificates and tests, which are completely self-evident and mandatory for every manufacturer in EU production. In the production of printed car fragrances from our offer, fragrances of a higher price class of EU origin are used, which is felt with more pleasant odors. These are released gradually and evenly. It is also necessary to pay attention to the ecological or health aspect of car fragrances.
The composition of printed promotional fragrances for cars includes compressed pure cellulose, which is coated on both sides with a layer of printing, fragrance oils of EU origin of high quality class. Promotional / advertising fragrances for the car are hung on a plastic hanger or on a classic elastic cord. The plastic hanger keeps the fragrance perfectly straight so that your brand is presented in perfect light. The final product is packed in a special airtight bag, which allows you to gradually remove the car air freshener. This way we can easily regulate the strength and lifespan of the fragrance.
For your advertising / promotion, you can also choose to make car air fresheners / fragrances in a completely new form. In this case, we can help you with advice or graphic design according to your instructions and wishes. The maximum size of the fragrance made to order is 70x120 mm. So you can also present car fragrances with print as your sales product or your brand.
We can also prepare a graphic template for air fresheners / air fresheners for printing on both sides of the product. We may use your logo, slogan or other form for printing that will suit your promotion / advertisement.
Smells
The offer for the production of promotional / advertising fragrances for cars has a huge variety of scents that we can offer to customers. Standard scents are vanilla, green apple, orange, cranberry, super sport, north sea, cherry, tropic, new car scent, etc.
Fragrances have their own hidden language of how they reach our senses and remain in the memory for a long time. The sense of smell is considered to be the activity of the right hemisphere of the brain, it can contribute to therapeutic effects, calm the emotional, change the mood, etc.
Use
Fragrances for the car (or any other space) bring us fresh scents to the surroundings, and the gradual extraction does not need to be described separately. However, we must not forget the basics, namely a generally clean car and ventilation of the room in which we use fragrances. It should also be noted that smoking in the car in which we use fragrances is not recommended by all manufacturers, as the combination of compounds can lead to headaches or other unexpected results.
When advertising / promoting with printed car fragrances, the most common uses are in car showrooms and car washes. The product is welcome and useful in many other situations, for example in the promotion of new products, fairs, festivals, presentations, etc.
Quality control
The production of car fragrances / air fresheners from printing is subject to quality control on several levels. Compressed pure cellulose is completely nature-friendly. The oils used in production are mostly artificial (only 2,000 of the 250,000 known fragrant plants can produce the oils needed to make fragrances). Synthetic oils can recreate various fragrances such as fruit or flowers, and replace many ingredients that are no longer used - especially extracts obtained in the past from animals (Ambergris - putty). All oils fully comply with EU requirements and laws.
Existing forms
When making fragrances / air fresheners for cars with printing, we use different shapes of cut-out knives. Classic car fragrance shapes include square, rectangle, circle, tear, trapezoid, octagon, heart and ellipse. For other forms send us an inquiry.
Generally about fragrances
History of fragrances
We have been using various fragrance compounds since ancient times to freshen the air and mask unpleasant odors.
The ancient Egyptians used musk and other natural fragrances in their tombs. Throughout the history of time, mankind has used various compounds derived from flowers, spices and other extracts to create a pleasant aroma. Ways to release aromas longer and more efficiently, however, began only after 1948, when the first modern fragrance with a gradual release of aroma was introduced to the market. The product was based on technology developed by the U.S. Army for the dispersion of insecticides. The spray can contained a mixture of 1% perfume, 24% alcohol (other solvents were also used) and 75% chlorofluorocarbon (CFC) as propellant. The product was able to disperse a mist of fragrance that remained in the air for a long time. This type of product was also the basis for the entire fragrance industry, which has expanded globally.
In the 1950s, many companies began adding other chemical compounds to their formulas. The development and mentality went in the direction that the product would completely eliminate unpleasant odors and not "just" mask the smell. Larger companies dealing in perfumes, fresheners and fragrances represented active chemical compounds that were able to neutralize a multitude of odors such as cigarette smoke, urine, feces, kitchen odors, fish (amine), etc. These active compounds contained various unsaturated esters, long-chain aldehydes and some pre-polymers.
During this time, the most iconic product for scenting the air appeared - namely "Little Trees", fragrant spruce for the car or any other space. The Car-Freshener company, which developed the fragrant spruce trees, offers more than 60 different scents, including the scent of chocolate, black ice and the night sky.
Over the next 25 years, aerosol chemical formulas changed and improved product performance, making it cheaper to make the air fragrance itself. In the 1970s, the fragrance market shifted sharply away from aerosols because new scientific findings at the time showed that chlorofluorocarbons (CFCs) were harmful to ozone. Over time, the formulas have been updated to displace most of the harmful substances in the sprays.
The use of potpourri and candles increased in the 1990s, leading to the development of alternative ways to freshen the air. Various companies offered interesting solutions, such as a box filled with dry spices and herbs with a small battery-powered fan that spread a pleasant smell. Another company offered aromatherapy with candles to the market, which had special therapeutic uses (soothing, invigorating, etc.).
Among the new commercially successful fragrance products is Glade Plug-in, which uses heat to evaporate fragrant ingredients into the environment.
Today, we are also researching, among other things, human odor - the odor we produce to attract or drive other people away. Humans, like other mammals, release pheromones into their immediate environment, which in principle attract the opposite sex.
About the inventor of the fragrant spruce for the car
Scented spruces for the car were invented by Julius Sämann (approx. 1911 - May 9, 1999), who was a perfumer and chemist by profession. Mr. Sämann has signed several patents, but he made history with the invention of the "Little Trees" of fragrant pine trees in Watertown, New York in 1952.
The inventor worked in the wilds of Canada for many years to improve the process of extracting oil from pine trees. He rounded out his knowledge of oil extraction after talking to the driver of a milk delivery vehicle, who complained about the unbearable smell of spilled milk. In 1954, Sämann filed a patent application based on impregnated paper in the form of a tree with a compound that destroys bad odor in the air, packed in a cellophane bag and hanging cord. There was a note in the notes that the string was needed because of the application - the fragrant compound was a bit sticky and harder to remove from your hands. The shape of the product is not accidental, as it makes it easier to "swing" the bag and thus gradually extract the fragrance.
Throughout his career, Sämann has been committed to quality and high standards for its products. Compounds were frequently inspected in the laboratory to confirm quality and compliance with industry norms and legislation. Attention was also paid to other elements, such as a cellophane bag.
Little Trees brand
CAR-FRESHNER protects its goods seriously and ardently, which has been shown over time and the multitude of lawsuits they have filed. The company's website has a special section in which it talks about its registered trademarks and warns of abuses or how to start cooperating with the company through legal channels.
In Europe, the "Little Trees" brand is represented under the names "Wunder-Baum" and "Abre Magique", each brand having its own market segment.
Unfortunately, we do not have an official representative of the popular brand in Slovenia. However, we have in Slovenia the production of various fragrances, which are used in various forms and products. Especially interesting are the promotional printed fragrances for the car.
